Generally speaking, each transition is used in the following way:

1. The END-CAP transitions to any vertical surface such as carpet or sliding glass doors.

2. The REDUCER transitions from the wood floor to a floor of lesser height such as laminate or vinyl.

3. The T-MOLDING transitions between different floor types of equal height.

4. The STAIR NOSE transitions at any stair edge or step down location.

5. The QUARTER ROUND provides a nice finish between the floor and wall base.
