Generally speaking, each transition is used in the following way:
- The END-CAP transitions to any vertical surface such as carpet or sliding glass doors.
- The REDUCER transitions from the wood floor to a floor of lesser height such as laminate or vinyl.
- The T-MOLDING transitions between different floor types of equal height.
- The STAIR NOSE transitions at any stair edge or step down location.
- The QUARTER ROUND provides a nice finish between the floor and wall base.
